Toronto elementary school teachers and sisters, Diana and Merrylene Manuelpillai, know the importance of keeping Terry Fox’s legacy strong among school children. These teachers are not only running in Cedarbrook’s 37th annual run to set an example for younger generations, but are also running for all the family they have won and lost to cancer. In the Manuelpillai family, cancer is a genetic disease on their mother’s side. Participating in this year’s run is inspired by Terry Fox’s ‘universal message of hope and love.’ Listen here.
