Ruth Shernofsky, long-time Terry Fox participant and volunteer, shared her inspirational story of survival at the Terry Fox run at Gibson Park on Sunday, September 14. Although she isn’t able to run anymore, she says she “feels that I’m contributing by telling people my part.” Shernofsky has survived breast cancer, C-difficile, and a hip infection. She tells Centennial Journalism’s Scout McCraw about her hopes for the future of cancer research.
