By Daniel McKenzie, Centennial Journalism
David Smyth grew up in Etobicoke, Ontario, on the western outskirts of Toronto. He has been volunteering to help organize the Terry Fox Run for over ten years, first in Ottawa where he attended university, then back in his hometown at the High Park location, since 2011.
Having lost two grandparents and one of his old university roommates to cancer, Smyth knows first-hand how the terrible disease can change live. He tells Centennial Journalism’s Daniel McKenzie what Terry Fox means to him. Listen here.
