Deputy Mayor Doug Dickerson remembers well the day Terry Fox ran through Pickering during the Marathon of Hope.  At the time,  Dickerson was a newly appointed member of Pickering Town Council and was the only town official who turned out to greet Fox as he made his way through the town. That experience left a lasting impression on the councillor and he has been a supporter of the Pickering event ever since. Just like the effort he made then,  Dickerson still comes out to play his individual part in support of Terry’s cause. Listen here.
