Gavin Maclean had a strong reason to run the 2013 Terry Fox Run at Toronto’s Central YMCA.  A member of the Salvation Army, he and other members of the charity showed their support for cancer research. But his personal struggle with the disease during his childhood also encouraged him to participate. He told Centennial Journalism’s Soledad Vega this was his first time running it, but promised it wouldn’t be his last.
