No more clown wigs but memory of ‘Loveable Len’ lives on at 2013 Terry Fox Run

By Erica Rae Chong, Centennial Journalism

Lisa Wax participated in the 33rd Terry Fox Run at Wilket Creek Park Sunday to honour her late father-in-law, known fondly as “Loveable Len”. Wax was joined by 25 other members of the Wax family, all dressed in matching white shirts emblazoned with the words “In memory of Loveable Len” and a picture of Len Wax participating in a previous Terry Fox Run. Len never missed a run, until he died of five different cancers in 2011. Wax tells Centennial Journalism’s Erica Rae Chong about Len’s colourful spirit and equally colourful clown wigs.
