Wanda Wierzbicki and her husband have been participating in the Terry Fox Run for the past 10 years. This was her family’s first time running at Colonel Danforth Park. They participate yearly in memory of Wierzbicki’s father who had three types of cancer through his life: lymphoma, colon and prostate cancer.
The Wierzbickis told Jennifer Lee of Centennial Journalism that if you can walk for two hours in the mall on a Saturday, you could walk 10k to raise cancer awareness. Listen here:
