This past Sunday, many cities around the country celebrated the annual Terry Fox Run to keep Terry’s dream alive and raise money for cancer research. One of the cities that held the annual event was in Woodbridge, Ontario.
Laurie Scaccia, 41, was one of the 80 people that took part in the event held at Boyd Park in Woodbridge. Her good friend was recently diagnosed with leukemia. She ran the Toronto Half Marathon back in May which she dedicated to her good friend. This Terry Fox Run saw her run 10 kilometres.
Scaccia tells Centennial Journalism’s Kyle Bedi how Terry Fox not only impacted her but an entire country. Listen here.
