Breast cancer survivor strides for a difference at the Markham-Unionville 2013 Terry Fox Run

Michael Johnson, Centennial Journalism

Linda, who didn’t want her full name used, is a first time participant at the Terry Fox Run at the Unionville Library location. She says the motivating factor that led her to participate is because she is a survivor of breast cancer. It’s also turned her into a passionate supporter of the Terry Fox movement. Terry Fox started in 1980, over 30 years ago. Linda tells Centennial Journalism’s Michael Johnson the run is a good way to give back and not take Canada’s excellent health care system for granted. Listen to the interview here.
