by Arifa Rattansi, Centennial Journalism

Gyongvyer and her mother were just two of the 300 participants at the Terry Fox Run at Cedarbrook Park in Scarborough Sunday. The family arrived in Canada six years ago and Gyongvyer, now using the Canadian name Ginger, describes how Terry Fox’s story inspired her to run for the cause. She tells Arifa Rattansi of Centennial Journalism why her motivation to run started after hearing about Terry Fox’s story.
