After years of cooking behind a propane stove, Jacques Vendsvoort, the head chef at the Hockley General Store in Hockley, Ontario, has found time to sit back and admire the simplicity of the community around him. With his two small dogs, Vendsvoort has settled down in a small house located on the same property he works in.
